A flagship music-led initiative
PUNARVAAS • AATMAVISHWAAS • NAYI SHURUAT
Tihar Idols.
Beyond the label.
“पुनर्वास आत्मविश्वास एक अनूठा प्रयास”
A platform that brings music, skill-building and recognition together—so people in incarceration can be seen for their talent, develop confidence and imagine a constructive future beyond their past.

*The 5,000+ figure is the organisation's preferred impact figure for this website, as confirmed by the Society. The supplied Tihar Idols PDF separately describes more than 2,000 inmates transformed through music.
The concept
Music can open a door to change.
Tihar Idols is presented in the supplied concept document as a collective effort to help incarcerated people discover and develop their abilities and prepare for a more constructive return to civil society.
The initiative recognises that a person’s past cannot be changed, while the present can be used to build skills, confidence and a more hopeful future. Music and performance become a way to practise, collaborate, express oneself and be recognised for talent.
What the initiative aims to do
Talent with a purpose.
Skills for a new chapter.
As described in the supplied PDF, the programme connects artistic development with confidence, practical skills and the possibility of reintegration.
Discover talent
Identify musical and performance abilities that may otherwise remain unseen.
Build skills
Create opportunities to practise performance and develop capabilities aligned with the spirit of Skill India.
Restore confidence
Encourage positive self-belief, discipline, collaboration and a constructive mindset.
Support reintegration
Help participants work towards a meaningful place in society through their abilities and contributions.
